Project Manager - Systems

Description Our client in San Ramon is seeking a Scrum Master/Project Manager for a 6+ month engagement. Our Scrum Master/Project Manager will work with a team to implement a new Accounts Payable tool. Candidates should possess sufficient knowledge in accounting functions and systems and a true enthusiasm for keeping financial projects on schedule and creating successful outcomes. The Project Manager role works in conjunction with a team of Business Analysts in order to complete detailed requirements documentation, a responsibility that may involve data mapping to accounting systems for proper accounting and reporting of transactions. You'll need to bring a knack for cross-functional collaboration, as this role will require you to incorporate input and feedback from the accounting leadership team and from key participants in other functional areas. Offered on a long-term duration, this is a contract / temporary position. This is a 100% remote role. Hourly pay is $55-$76/hr. depending on experience and location. Duration is 6 months with an option to extend for another 6 months.Major responsibilities

Develops and manages project sponsor expectations, understands business drivers and, when required, requests changes to project scope, timing, or resources to make sure strategic solutions are delivered

Creates governance approaches for the projects to ensure effective communication and issue resolution

Joins forces with development team to identify business requirements and business process design

Organizes priorities of concurrent project and support assignments, in addition to meeting stakeholder expectations

Ensures accurate work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports, issue management and risk mitigation

Communicates with business users to define and analyze business requirements

Requirements

Core knowledge in Agile and Scrum practices is essential Solid experience in more traditional project management practices, such as developing a schedules, and comfortable developing and presenting status reports to management Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross functionally with other leaders and peers using collaborative and negotiation skills.
