Civil Engineering Project Manager - Renewable Energy

Timmons Group is currently seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our Energy & Renewables Group in our Plano, TX office location.  Projects in this group focus on land development for utility scale wind and solar farm projects around the country.  A typical scope on a project includes road design, crane path design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design, mass grading, erosion and sediment control design and field reconnaissance.         Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:Ability to manage several mid-sized projects, multiple small projects or a single larger project simultaneously is requiredDesign portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling and Civil 3D technologyComplete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problemsPrepare specifications materials through the use of research and manufacturing catalogs to specify materials, installation, inspection and payment of items specific to a projectWork to complete design details and plan setsAssist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimatesCommunicate with client, staff, and internal design teamAbility to mentor junior level staffSkills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering, or closely related degree, and professional registration (P.E.) in North Carolina, and/or one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business6+ years of experience in civil engineering related to land development civil engineeringMust have a thorough understanding of project accounting and demonstrated ability to manage the schedule and budget for multiple projects at the same timeProven experience in client management, relationships and contract acquisitionHas experience in marketing and supervision of the technical work of othersHas working knowledge of CADD and or civil 3D software. (Civil 3D preferred), and office support software required to perform the essential functions of the position
