Job Family :Strategy & Transformation ConsultingTravel Required :Up to 75% Clearance Required :NoneWhat You Will Do :You will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects within the firm’s Healthcare Physician Operations & Services area within our Strategy and Innovation area. You will provide technical strategic skills in many areas of health care, but will begin focusing on a specific area of specialization within the integrated healthcare system. You will also develop local, regional and national reputation for your expertise in this area of specialization on behalf of Guidehouse through speaking engagements, articles, etc., and will begin selling small projects in this key focal area.The ideal candidate will bring extensive healthcare industry experience with a proven track record of delivering innovative clinical and strategic performance solutions to physician practices and provider systems. This individual will lead the design, development and implementation of solutions to create high performing health care provider organizations. The business lines that the Associate Director will be part of leading include a full range of Physician-Hospital integration and affiliation issues including clinical, operational and revenue cycle assistance with merging, integrating and stabilizing practice operations and billing as well as assessment of and implementation of provider based billing.Finally, this individual will play a key role in helping guide the firm’s continued development of leading-edge consulting, in the performance improvement service line.

Develop strong capability to not only contribute to this effort but also heavily contribute to Guidehouse thought leadership in this key focal area and lead Guidehouse and client teams to deliverables. Build a reputation for their expertise in this area of specialization and develop best practice and people to deliver excellence.

Structure project analyses and complete portions of analysis in health system strategy with focus in physician area

Define creative approaches to analyses building strategic models and solutions

Identify new tools and techniques to be applied

Ensure accurate application of business techniques

Develop strong ongoing relations with client managers, directors, and vice presidents, C Suite health systems and academic hospitals

Mentor more junior Guidehouse Co. professionals

Be a firm “expert” in areas of market specialization

Be alert to potential new client leads and work with area leads to answer potential at existing clients

Project Management including:

Establish and maintain project structure to meet timelines, milestones, and deliverables

Demonstrated ability to plan, set priorities, organize, and coordinate with other workstreams to support larger project goals and objectives

Develop communication vehicles and materials to keep client and internal Guidehouse stakeholders informed on project progress and risks

Perform other project related duties as assigned by the engagement manager

Identify and escalate project scope problems internally and help manage externally with client

What You Will Need :

Bachelor's degree from accredited university required; Master's degree in business, management, health policy and administration or other quantitative degree is a plus

7+ years of previous work experience in a healthcare consulting firm or a combination of healthcare industry and consulting experience

Previous strategy/ops consulting experience or very similar impact experience within a major integrated healthcare system with focus on: physician, Network, CIN and/or physician operations.

Provider-side experience in a health system' physician strategy and operations

Solid background in broad-based provider financial modeling 3+ yrs.

Project and/or program management experience 3+ yrs.

Excellent quantitative analysis skills in data analysis, modeling, dashboards

Solid Proficiency of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access as well as the ability to conduct research

The ability to travel as necessary: 50%+ Additional qualifications include efficiency, flexibility, innovative problem solving skills, a high level of motivation, and excellent organizational skills.

Must be able to work well independently and within team structures.

What Would Be Nice To Have :

Provider-side experience in a health system, hospital strategy with emphasis on physician group strategy and operations

5+ years of progressive advancement in a matrixed healthcare related strategy /operations management consulting firm

Written and oral communication skills Experience in value-based payment arrangements such as Medicare Advantage/Managed Care, risk contracting, shared savings arrangements, and/or post acute care consulting.

The annual salary range for this position is $123,700.00-$247,400.00.
