Assurant is continuing to interview and hire! We are taking extra measures to keep everyone safe through the pandemic. We are conducing virtual interviews and allowing our new hires to complete training from home. Once it is safe for employees to return to the workplace, this job will be conducted in the Assurant office. Therefore, candidates need to live with-in a commutable distance from our Bothell WA location.

No experience with Collections? No problem! We will start you off with two weeks of paid training on State and Federal laws pertaining to collections, how to use our state of the art software application, plus innovative ideas and techniques on how to investigate, negotiate and dispute resolution. We’ll even pay for you to take the American Collectors Association Exam!

What you’ll be doing:

Assurant Recovery Solutions is an established leader in the Asset Recovery Industry where we service property managers across the U.S. exclusively. You’ll be locating and contacting former tenants to determine the best course of action to recover unpaid rent and/or damages. Our approach is to train consumers on how they can resolve their debt.

Our business is the largest in our industry with better and more clients in Multi-Family housing than anyone else. We have a higher contingency rates (our fee per dollar we collect), better pay potential, contests, available resources, and benefits!

Let’s talk money!

We offer a base salary between $2,500 - $3,000+ per month based on experience. There are bonus opportunities during training that can increase your income early on. The bonuses are around $200-400+ each.

The BIG money is in our commission plan! We have one of the best commission plans around (if not THE best) Our average collectors make between $50,000 - $70,000 in their first year then $70,000 - $100,000 in their second year. Our Top Performers are making $125,000 - $200,000+. Because earnings potential is performance driven, your income may vary from these averages.

About you:

We need you to have a High School Diploma or GED, basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, rounding, and probability), confidence, and persistence.

We’ve seen great success from, but not limited to, people with backgrounds like retail salespeople, fast paced call center or customer service agents, business developers in real estate, retail, marketing, or insurance, or banking professionals such as Personal Bankers or Loan Officers, restaurant servers, cooks, bar tenders, car sales, etc. People that have ever said they, “just need someone to give them an opportunity to prove myself” do really well here.
