The ideal candidate will ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain data quality standards, identify data discrepancies, and develop solutions to address data quality issues.Our team provides program support to DFS OCSE to manage and monitor the development, implementation, operation, maintenance, technical support, and enhancement of the division’s systems and services. Federal Parent Locator Service (FPLS) information is, by statute, made available to child support agencies and a limited number of federal and state agencies. These secure systems and services help child support agencies, employers, insurers, and financial institutions exchange information about child support cases; locate parents; establish paternity, custody and visitation; collect support; and identify fraud.This role is currently fully remote. However, once COVID restrictions are lifted, the work location for this position is the General Dynamics Information Technology in Windsor Mill, MD.Responsibilities:· Collect, analyze, and interpret large and complex data sets using Python.· Establish and maintain data quality standards across the organization.· Identify and investigate data discrepancies and recommend solutions to address data quality issues.· Develop and implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness.· Work with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and ensure data quality requirements are met.· Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements.· Continuously monitor and improve data quality processes and procedures.· Maintain documentation of data quality standards and procedures.Required Skills:· Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of related experience with 3 years of hands-on Python related experience· Working knowledge of version control and code collaboration, ideally AWS CodeCommit· Knowledge of SQL and database systems.· Experience with Data Analytics tools such as SAS, Tableau, Quicksight, etcDesired Skills: Experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Athena, and Redshift. Understanding of web application development and frontend technologies Experience developing and executing test automation scripts to ensure functionality, data qualityCOVID-19 Vaccination: GDIT does not have a vaccination mandate applicable to all employees.
