Who We Are

Central Paving, LLC was founded in 2009 by the Greear family of Ellensburg, WA. We operate throughout Central Washington. Our services include asphalt paving, asphalt repair, sealcoating, pavement marking, crack sealing, traffic signage, and grading services to residential, commercial, public, and industrial customers. Central Paving is currently experiencing rapid growth and is looking for another estimator/project manager to add to our team.

Summary of Responsibilities

The asphalt Estimator/Project Manager estimates and manages Central Paving, LLC’s asphalt and maintenance projects including new asphalt construction, asphalt overlays, asphalt repair & patching, sealcoating, cracksealing, pavement marking, grading and drainage. This position requires the ability to communicate with company crews and customers. Strong written and verbal skills are necessary. Weekend work is rarely but sometimes required. This is a year-round position.

Additional Responsibilities

The Estimator/Project Manager must be able to follow the company’s detailed customer service procedures. This includes an initial site meeting with the customer, gathering information for the bid proposal, assembling the bid proposal, following up with the customer, scheduling jobs, working with superintendents and crew leads with job coordination, assisting with the preparation of daily work orders, and following up with crew and customers once the job is complete. This position may also include participation in company sales and marketing efforts, particularly in the winter off season. This may include prospecting, following up with existing customers to talk about other services, participation at company trade shows and other efforts that will be introduced from time to time. Our company has a strong focus on the use of technology to make us more efficient and productive. The estimator/project manager must be competent with the use of computers, smart phones, tablets, etc.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Preferred degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or comparable program OR at least 2 years of management in a business or construction field.

- Demonstrated commitment to providing superior customer service.

- Intermediate mathematical skills.

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform well under deadlines.

- Able to develop and maintain positive relationships with project personnel, the customer, subcontractors, and other third-party representatives.

- Proficiency with a variety of industry-specific software (e.g. MS Project, Excel, Word, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Bluebeam, Quickbooks).

- In possession of a valid Washington State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

- Willingness to travel around Central Washington for company duties.

- Proficiency in English

- Focus on safety and quality

- Ability to lift a minimum of 100 lbs

- Self motivated and punctual

Compensation

- This position is an hourly position, to be mutually negotiated at time of hiring. Reasonable annual earnings are $70,000 - $100,000 annually
