Job DetailsJob Functions Electrical Engineering Design of lighting, power, and low voltage systems for new and existing commercial, institutional and government buildings. Perform electrical load analysis calculations and voltage drop calculations. Interact with clients (Building Owners and Architects). Coordination directly with the owner, architect, structural engineer, civil engineer and mechanical engineer as needed to properly design the Electrical portions of a project. Perform field visits to verify existing electrical systems for reuse/renovation of existing buildings. Design of Electrical systems using Autocadd 2023 and REVIT. Review and approval of Electrical Shop Drawings. Perform field visits during construction to review installed electrical systems and prepare field visit report.Qualifications P.E., E.I.T. or BSEE preferred but not required. Electrical Design experience (Lighting, Power, Basic Fire Alarm). Minimum of 10 Years of experience working for an MEP/FP Engineering Firm in the design of Electrical systems for new and existing commercial buildings - schools, office buildings, restaurants, warehouses, airports, municipal buildings, park buildings, etc. Familiarity with the Florida Building Code and the National Electric Code. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2023. Proficiency in Revit or willingness to learn - not all projects are produced in Revit. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Independent work ethic with self ignited creative problem-solving ability. Production oriented. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work well with others.Interested in hearing more?
