Job Summary

This position plays a key role in assisting with the safety, employee onboarding & training, and additional tasks as assigned by the HR & Safety Manager to ensure a positive and safe work environment for all employees. You will perform a wide range of operational, administrative, and support activities to facilitate the efficient and safe operation of the organization.

Schedule/Shift

1st shift Monday – Friday 7 am – 4:30 pm (Must be Flexible)

Essential Job Duties

Human Resources:

Conduct onboarding process for Performance Pallet – General Labor positions

New employee orientations; communicate required information to employees to ensure a successful employment experience with Performance

Maintain, schedule and conduct employee Safety Quizzes for all 3 shifts

Complete employee onboarding checklist and ensure appropriate completion of paperwork

Enter and scan new employee information and documents into HR database systems

Prepare 1095-c documents for every Performance Corp. employee as required once a year

Translate company documents, discussions and other information as requested

Maintain and manage the vending program for the breakroom, adding employees and assigning cards

Conduct annual Employee Satisfaction Survey

Communicate employee benefit programs to Performance Pallet general labor employees, including; Health, Dental, and Accident insurance, 401k, vacation benefits, uniforms, etc. based on direction provided by HR Generalist

Have a clear understanding of company policies and procedures in order to answer questions, provide direction and clarification to employees

Must be able to maintain appropriate confidentiality of company/employee information

Assist with recruiting efforts including job fairs, creating flyers, advertisements, etc. as needed based on direction given by Recruiting/Safety Coordinator

Maintain internal Job Board postings based on direction provided

Assist in the completion of various HR documentation

Safety:

Assist in maintaining the Safety board, finding articles and posting information

Assist with employee injuries

Provide First Aid treatment to injured employees

Transport work related injured persons to the appropriate medical facility

Maintain inventory of the First Aid Room and Personal Protective Equipment items

Translate for Spanish speaking employees who seek treatment at the on-site physical therapist

Assist the Recruiting/Safety Coordinator, HR Generalist and the HR Manager with additional tasks as requested

Job Qualifications

· Education & Experience

o High school Diploma or equivalent

o Driver’s license required

· Communication Skills

o Bilingual in Spanish is required

o Must be able to work a flexible schedule, as needed for company events and trainings. This may vary throughout the year and will be communicated in advance.

o Ability to read & interpret documents such safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.

o Strong verbal and written communication skills

o Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

o Ability to multi-task in stressful situations

· Mathematical Skills

o Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

· Computer Skills

o Knowledgeable in the use of computers, including the ability to enter information into Microsoft Excel, use Microsoft Word, communicate via Microsoft Office email platform and other programs as required.

· Reasoning Ability

o Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

o Able to complete and follow-through on tasks provided by HR Department
