Senior Director, Operations and Transformation

Job Description

This unique role will interlock with multiple parts of the business including engineering, sales, marketing, mergers and acquisitions, channels, and many parts of the company.

The Firewall as a Platform Organization is the innovation engine of Palo Alto Networks. With over 1,200 employees. The FWaaP organization drives product management and engineering activities . To stay ahead of the curve, it’s critical to know where the curve is and proactively adapt our strategy and execution. You will be tasked with doing competitive market analysis, business model transformation, pricing and developing solutions for complex business problems that are top-of-mind for our executives. We expect you to work collaboratively to gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, independently lead problem-solving, develop and package recommendations for presentation to management, support execution and manage a broad set of x-functional stakeholders.

• Develop a strong foundation in our markets, products, and operations as the basis for defining our future direction

• A strategic thinker who is passionate about solving complex product strategy and operational challenges

• Drive strategic initiatives focused on running the business, ARR, product adoption and utilization tracking, pricing strategy and financial modeling, ratability, M&A integration activities, operational excellence

• Growing the business through competitive insights, and business development

• Bring clarity of thought to effectively structure, communicate, and ensure alignment on our strategies and plans

• Comfortable engaging with senior executives, cross functional stakeholders

• Strong executive presence, interpersonal skills, and ability to influence across disciplines

• Ability to balance critical thinking, detailed planning, and the execution of multiple programs at the same time

Qualifications

• Management experience with sometime in management consulting, strategy, or business operations roles in technology

• Cybersecurity industry expertise is a plus but not required

• Global experience is highly preferred

• MBA or similar academic credentials

• Excellent clarity and critical thinking skills, supported by a robust analytical skillset

• A high degree of creative ability and curiosity, analytical thinking, and general eye for business

• Experience partnering with leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver results

• Effective program management skills and demonstrated ability to lead complex strategic initiatives

• High-energy self-starter that thrives in fast-paced environments

• Able to interpret analytics into business
