As a Senior Advisor, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction for long-term plans related to SCE’s physical assets and managing the end-to-end development process of documented strategies.As a Strategic Planning Senior Advisor, Strategy Coordination , you will have an opportunity to play a meaningful role throughout the development of various asset class strategies that will influence how we address current and potential challenges impacting the grid while enabling the grid of the future. Sets future vision for asset class strategy documents and leads efforts to promote and integrate continuous improvement into documentation and underlying processes
Leads development activities and manages processes for creating asset class strategies
Leads coordination and standardization of methodologies for asset risk modeling used as part of asset strategies
Establishes annual project plan and key objectives and project manages asset class strategy development process to aid in meeting established goals
Guides strategy development teams to translate asset challenges, current state, and future needs into actionable multi-year financial plans that shape the future of major asset programs that can be integrated into the business plan and other areas
Leads training efforts to ensure strategies produced align with Asset Management principles and are justified by data
Leads the editorial, review, and approval process and plays the primary role in ensuring the strategies are approved and presented to the appropriate governance
Creates, reports, and presents materials related to asset class strategy development and/or updates within and outside the organization and to senior leadership
Creates, modifies, and project manages various integration processes (e.g., risk analysis, supply chain, data opportunities) to ensure strategy outcomes integrate risk-based & continuous improvement thinking to improve overall value for SCE
QualificationsThe essentials
Ten or more years of combined experience in business operations, strategic planning, and/or engineering
Experience influencing, partnering, leading and/or working with cross-functional departments to achieve company objectives
Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leadership
The preferred
Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Leadership, or related field
Experience prioritizing activities, delegating, monitoring assignments, and holding team members accountable for results
Experience developing or providing input, which drives key decision-making, into company roadmaps or strategies (e.g. asset strategies)
Experience developing and delivering presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience achieving desired outcomes and actions through negotiation and influence
Strong oral and written communication skills and must be customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to clients’ business needs
Experience interfacing effectively and collaborating with internal employees, third party entities, and all levels of management to ensure stakeholder buy-in
Experience integrating work across an organization
Understanding of utility business processes, operations, and equipment
Must demonstrate strong ethics, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning
Proficient experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint

This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
