The PositionArrowhead is seeking a Contract Manager to join its legal team at its Pasadena, CA headquarters. Reporting to the Sr. Contracts Manager, the Contract Manager will evaluate, draft and negotiate company contracts on behalf of Arrowhead. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and negotiating skills, and will be detail oriented, responsive, tech savvy, quick to think on their feet, and comfortable with making decisions independently based on an analysis of risk. Candidates should have 5+ years of contract administration experience, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.Responsibilities

Assist in the management of Arrowhead’s contract system, including ensuring that contract requests are properly entered and tracked in the system

Negotiate and approve contract terms while ensuring that projects remain within established corporate parameters

Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding contracts

Review contract proposals to ensure they are reasonable and accurate

Write and/or edit contract communications and notices

Assist with other general legal matters, as appropriate

Be able to integrate and balance big-picture concerns with day-to-day activities

Address business partner needs by involving the right people at the right time, understanding their ultimate objectives, being responsive and developing creative solutions

Requirements:

5+ years prior experience in a senior role managing a large volume of contracts

Possesses superior negotiation skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a keen eye for details

Strong analytical ability, critical and strategic thinking skills with attention to detail and project management skills to ensure appropriate execution

Experience coordinating with internal clients to understand and help them achieve their goals

Outstanding organizational and time management abilities

Tech Savvy and comfortable with implementing (with help from IT) new technology into our contracting process

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in a business or biotechnology-related field or equivalent relevant experience

Pharmaceutical or biotech experience a plus

Experience with clinical trial agreements a plus

Experience with the Agiloft contract management system

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $120,000 - $160,000 annually.#LI-ONSITEPowered by JazzHR
