This long-term contract / temporary role is for a Collections Specialist who wants to work in the Baltimore, Maryland area.Major responsibilities

Maintain quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries

Document all customer payments to the right reports

Lead all billing and reporting activities according to deadlines

Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

Maintain and update customer files to sustain data integrity

Control inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence

Process bankruptcy filings correctly when received

Yield to all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations

Guarantee payments are processed Requirements - Earlier work involving Aging Reports

Adeptness in B2B collections

Collections management experience highly desired

Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel

General familiarity with Accounts receivables systems

Foundational knowledge in commercial collections

Strong familiarity with Cash Collections

Excel Formulas experience highly preferred

Command of consumer collections

Cash Collections experience desired

Background working with Aging Accounts

Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

Effectively analyze customer accounts make decisions based on said analyses

AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred

Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience

Prior experience working with collections/accounting software
