Overview

The Rental supervisor is responsible for overseeing the rental operations ensuring a high-quality experience for our guests;

well organized, efficient, staffed with well-trained technicians and guest friendly. The supervisor is required to possess technical expertise of winter sports equipment and have current knowledge of industry products and trends.

This position is responsible for maintaining the rental fleet’s quality and safety standards. Provides general information to the guests about The Summit and The Base Area.

As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests. Takes initiative to get any and all jobs completed accurately and proficiently and is someone who doesn’t understand the term not my job.

Responsibilities

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position.

Ensure that the Rental Shop is properly staffed according to the Customer’s needs.

Provide Rental Shop Employees with training on properly fitting equipment, adjusting bindings in accordance with manufacturer specifications, and on Rental Shop best Practices.

Assigns employees to various Rental Shop tasks such as inventory, cleaning, and other special projects.

Handles Customer complaints and special requests.

Responsible for daily reporting and payroll input.

Maintain a well-organized system for retention of accident documentation and release of liability documentation

Balancing the tills and making deposits to the Control Room

Demonstrates excellent communication skills with all levels of employees and guests.

Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

Directly supervises up to 25 employees in the Rental Shop. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, as well as, the planning, assigning, and directing of work;

appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; minimum of two years related experience and / or training;

or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification by binding manufacturer through The Summit at Snoqualmie.

Must be 18 years or older.
