We are looking for a payroll and accounting clerk to bill groups, support in the process of bi-weekly payroll for all employees as well as onboard new hires and other miscellaneous HR communications.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

Position Description & Job Responsibilities

  • Review the night audit revenue reports to verify their accuracy.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of asset/liability accounts that are driven by the night audit entries and any balance sheet accounts that are directly offset by invoices.
  • Supervise group, contract and convention billing.
  • Oversee group and guest disputed items.
  • Understand and manage Group postings.
  • Ensure timely collection of all Accounts Receivables.
  • Maintain contracts and billing for all wholesale accounts.
  • Maintain and make corrections for City Ledger and Guest Ledger accounts.
  • Responsible for Advanced Deposit billings and Advanced Deposit ledger.
  • Reconcile various General Ledger accounts as are assigned by DOF.
  • Evaluate credit worthiness/establish credit and recommend on direct billing approval.
  • Evaluate and handle and resolve credit card disputes and chargebacks.
  • Maintain position postings
  • New Hire system onboarding
  • New Hire orientation assignments and tracking
  • J1 offers and compliance
  • Employee birthday's and anniversaries announcements
  • Track compliance training
  • Payroll EIB uploads, and reporting

What are we looking for?

  • Someone with extensive knowledge of a hotel Front Office system / Maestro preferred
  • Someone with an understanding of POS systems and how they maintain & process information desired.
  • Someone with advanced computer skills, with a focus on accounting
  • Someone with knowledge of Excel
  • People person
