Coffee Production Machine Operator - Allegro Coffee Company

Job DescriptionUnder general supervision, operates equipment designed for the packaging of coffee, checks weights, maintains and calibrates scales and packaging machines. Assists in other areas of production as needed.ResponsibilitiesPackages coffee.

Sets up equipment for production (load roll stock, valves, weigh scale, warm up, labeler, tape).

Makes minor, reasonable adjustments on machines.

Assists with the mechanical changeovers of equipment.

Checks weigh products and records results. Conducts oxygen analyzer test when needed.

Programs coffee weights into computer.

Keeps all related equipment and work area sanitary/clean.

Performs all other duties as required by supervisor.

Have training and be compliant in the company’s SQF, GMP, HACCP, FDA, OSHA policies and procedures as well as any local/state/federal requirements.

RequirementsIndividual must have previous experience as a packaging operator, mechanical abilities, flexibility to meet changing production schedules and job assignments without close supervision.

Must be able to read and understand operator manuals.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

This position requires standing, bending stooping up to 10 hours a day.

Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and to communicate verbally with appropriate individuals.

1 year of coffee or food production experience preferred but not necessary.
