Structural Project Engineer

JVA has an opening for a Structural Project Engineer to join our Structural Engineering team in either our Boulder or Denver office. We are seeking a highly motivated person with a passion for engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed structural design for water and wastewater treatment facilities

Coordinate design details between various design disciplines

Develop plans and details in REVIT

Prepare project specifications

Provide engineering services during construction

Cost estimating

Conduct site visits and prepare field observation reports

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis

5-10 years of experience, preferably in the design of water and wastewater treatment structures

Structural engineering design and detailing experience.

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification or Professional Engineering license

Competent in the design of concrete and masonry structures and foundations

Knowledge of Structural design codes and standards

Experience preparing construction drawings

Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team

Highly motivated, articulate, and a good team player

Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

Registration as a Professional or Structural Engineer

Preferred education includes a master’s degree in Structural Engineering

Experience with REVIT

Experience with RAM and/or RISA 3D.

Familiarity with ACI 350
