DECK ENGINEER/BLUEPRINT DRAFTER

Awesome Decks is growing rapidly and needs a deck engineer to draft 2-D plans for our residential deck projects. The position offers flexible hours, work from home with occasional meetings at the office. Duties include:

1. Review the field notes and photos provided by our Sales Reps, and the 3-D graphic renderings created for each project to insure projects meet code requirements

2. Have contact with Sales Reps, Graphic Designers and Project Managers about design specs

3. Create 2-D blueprint drawings suitable for building permits and construction plans

4. Upload all 2-D plans to the cloud

Compensation to be negotiated based on experience. The successful candidate MUST live in the Colorado Springs-Monument area, and MUST have:

- STRONG deck construction knowledge

- 2-D Blueprint drafting experience

- Good oral & written communication skills

- Strong math and computer skills

- Good organizational, planning and time management skills

- MOST importantly, a positive can-do attitude, with high energy
