Senior Analyst - Operational Risk

Shift is looking for an Operational Risk Senior Analyst to be at the forefront of supporting the business to manage their operational risk. This job is as much about identifying operational risk as it is about resolving the root-cause of incidents/issues with business and risk owners. You will support incident management, process review, and monitor compliance including transaction monitoring. This role will report to the Operational Risk Manager.How will you make a differenceThe role will join the Risk & Compliance team to develop and implement the operational risk framework and identify process improvement opportunity via incident management process, control assurance, and transaction monitoring.Execute control assurance / QA plan and assist in incident management and financial crime monitoring.Support Incident Manager Coordinator to project-manage business incidents according to the incident procedures and to assist triage business incidentsAssist in conducting investigation on financial crime transaction monitoring (AML/CTF and Fraud)Perform QA on critical processes and controlsPerform a process deep dive driven by data analytics & exception reportAnalyse data to support key risk and key control indicators for continuous risk assessment and risk discussion with risk owners.Expand the risk framework through process & control mapping of critical business processes.Document the key controls and perform independent testing to confirm the effectiveness.Exposure to “end to end” business processes, propose improvement, and assist in implementing the recommendations.The role may grow into business risk & control, cyber risk, compliance, or financial crime/fraud specialist.Opportunity to get involved in designing & implementing Governance, Risk and Control system to support risk-aware business decision makings.
