Job DescriptionThis role will work with the Engineering team and provide technical assistance throughout the engineering department. Working as a key member of our team, we expect that our chosen individual will be hands-on, highly organized, and highly motivated. This role will be critical to ensuring proper guest satisfaction and quick resolution for any maintenance issues.This role is the mid-level maintenance engineering role on property.Responsibilities

Assist the Engineering team with the full upkeep of the preventative maintenance, including the keeping of logs on work done, scheduling and the assignment of projects and other related tasks.

Candidate will be responsible for but not limited to operating the boiler and chilled water plants, and maintaining temperatures throughout the building.

Willing to provide technical assistance to other technicians as necessary.

Complete daily work requests and scheduled maintenance in Synergy.

Candidate will be responsible for taking water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat the water to maintain predetermined levels of chemical concentration.

Candidate will operate various equipment, maintain domestic hot and cold-water systems, and observing various electrical switchgear to ensure proper operation.

Ensure repairs to guest room and public spaces as necessary including but not limited to kitchen, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs.

Assist the Engineering team with the procurement of supplies and the issuance of purchase orders.

Respond to guest requests.

Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.

Have a thorough understanding of Omni's job scenarios.

Must be familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures.

Qualifications

Previous maintenance experience required within an upscale hotel or resort.

Minimum of two years hotel and/or commercial building maintenance required.

Must be willing to work based on business levels and occupancy levels.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Candidate must be organized and manage his/her time as there will be more than one task starting at the same time.

Candidate must be able to not only follow direction but be able to think on their feet.

Must have great communication skills, attention to detail, and time management.

Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Swimming Pool knowledge is required.

Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Candidate may be expected to work outside and may be subject to all weather conditions.

Candidate must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Candidate must be able to bend, reach over-head, squat, and kneel for long periods of time.
