J OB TITLE:Quality Tech - 2R EPORTS TO :Quality SupervisorCLASSIFICATION:JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for the validating and accurately documenting quality and food safetyattributes of incoming raw materials, in-process and finished product. Certified inpre and post operational inspection, release and testing, along with full HACCPcertification. Validating and documenting for compliance, GMP’s and food safetystandards in the production environment. Work with other technicians to train onprocedures to ensure they understand specifications of product and set standards.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Conducts quality assurance testing and verifies and accurately documents

products and raw materials on the plant floor. These may include verifyingand documenting:a. In-process and finished product quality checks to ensure compliance toestablished specifications and temperature requirements.b. Labels to ensure they meet regulatory requirements including tareweights, UPC codes, legibility, establishment number, pricing and correctproduct identification.c. Incoming ingredients for compliance to established visual andtemperature requirements.d. Sell-by and product dates on product runs.

Communicates to leads and supervisors when product is out of specification.

Assists in validating plant-wide compliance to GMPs and employee safety

rules.a. Assists leadership in Root Cause Analysis and implements preventativemeasures.

Trains new team members as needed.

Works independently or within a team as needed.

Performs detailed inspection, testing and documentation

a. Trained and qualified in pre and post operation activitiesb. Trained and qualified in HACCP documentation and activities

May assume other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:Prefer High School Diploma or equivalent certificationQualified in Pre and Post Operational activities, and Hazard Analysis and CriticalControl Points (HACCP) programs. SQF, GMP, and HACCP Certified (externalcertification body)Must be able to coach, train, and take corrective action with productionpersonnel when necessaryMinimum 1 year of experience in food manufacturing/and or qualityAbility to speak, read, write and understand EnglishGood verbal and written communication skillsBilingual preferredGood math skillsMust be well-organized with good attention to detailDisplay strong work ethic and positive attitudeAdaptable and dependable with ability to follow directionMust maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearanceAbility to work independently or as a team and apply practical understandingto carry out detailed instruction and communicate findings with plantleadership and team.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSACTIVITIES:HEARING:Validating manufacturing work on the plant floor, standing for long hours, bending,stooping, and lifting.Must be able to hear average or normal conversations to receive information,occasionally with loud background noise in the working environment.REPETITIVE MOTION:VISUAL ABILITIES:Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents,products, or operate machinery.PHYSICAL STRENGTH:Regularly or frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.WORKING CONDITIONS:Must be able to work for long hours in a food processing environment, where it isloud, wet, damp, and cold.
