Find your future with us.The Boeing Test & Evaluation Engineering Team is looking for a SLS Production Test & Evaluation Engineer to support The NASA Space Launch Systems Core Stage production effort which has recently expanded from the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA to the Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, FL.Boeing is seeking engineers that have experience with production component assemblies with emphasis on electrical/avionics systems and/or fluid dynamics/propulsion systems. Specific roles may include tasks such as overseeing test execution of the electrical/avionic subsystems and system assemblies, interfacing with program leadership on technical issues and helping to align schedule needs and test preparation.Come join a great team test and evaluation team that is helping to produce "America's Rocket".Occasional travel to our Huntsville, AL and New Orleans, LA locations will be required.Periodic shift change may be required to support variable shifts, including weekends, overtime and some rotating shifts during active test phases.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; lead and senior level SLS Production Test & Evaluation Engineers.Position Responsibilities:

Develops and documents standardized test methods and processes to ensure repeatability and productivity

Leads the development of test procedures

Applies lessons learned to the improvement of test procedures

Designs calibration system/test fixtures

Guides others in the design of test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements

Oversees debriefing of the test team

Leads the analysis, processing and formatting of data to customer requirements

Approves test data prior to delivery to customer

Formulates expectations for test data based on historical data

Trains others

Works under minimal direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

4+ years of experience with Avionics, propulsion and/or Electrical systems

4+ years of experience conducting test in a lab or production environment

Experience as a lead engineer and/or in a leadership role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering

Experience working with the NASA customer

Electrical design experience

Experience with guiding and setting priorities for the team

Typical Education/Experience:Lead (level 4)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Senior (level 5)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience).
