Here’s What You Need

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Associate’s degree in Health Information or Health related field preferred

CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist upon hire required (preferred) OR

ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required (preferred) OR

LRMT – Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist upon hire required (preferred) OR

NCT – Non-Certified Radiologic Technician upon hire required (preferred) OR

CNA – Certified Nurse Aide upon hire required OR

EMT – Emergency Medical Technician upon hire required AND

BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

What You Will Do

Prepares room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies) to ensure radiology suite is in working order and ready to use to reduce patient risk.

Obtains patient history and determines appropriateness of exam in consultation/collaboration with radiologic technologist.

Operates, cares for and maintains relevant equipment to provide proper utilization.

Troubleshoots and properly documents equipment malfunction to ensure timely repairs and patient safety.

Maintains technical skills and technology advancement to enhance professional contributions to department.

Collects proper dosages of imaging contrast media (medication) under the direction of the Radiographer.

Uses Codonics system to make CDs for patient exams to provide accurate patient information.
