As the leader of the sales finance team, this position is the finance business partner that supports the SVP of Sales and the broader sales organization.This position will lead building the budget and forecast for revenues and expenses for Sales. They will direct and validate financial analyses to support strategic planning, operational decisions, and investments. They will evaluate and measure key company initiatives, analyze performance on key financial metrics, and provide executive decision support through strong business partnership.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coaches and mentors a team of finance business partners supporting the sales organization responsible for $3 billion in annual revenue.

Plans, forecasts, and drives productivity for $400 million+ in annual expenses.

Leads creation of annual operating plan for revenue, gross margin, and related sales opex.

Identifies financial risks, opportunities, and process improvements, making recommendations to senior management for corrective actions.

Supports senior management in the development and implementation of medium and long-term strategic plans.

Actively participates in cross functional teams and special projects representing the finance function.

Facilitates process to evaluate investment opportunities and performance tracking to ensure ROI realization.

Supports preparation for quarterly earnings release.

Responsible for the development of sales reporting tools and managing sales reporting priorities.

Prepares proforma financial summaries for Sales Strategic Initiatives.

Performs all duties inherent of an MSC Director as defined by the code of conduct, including hiring, termination, review and development of associates.

Ensures effective internal controls and compliance with MSC’s accounting policies and procedures.

Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Accredited four-year college/university degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

Minimum of eight year of progressive experience in finance is required

Minimum of three years experience managing associates is required

Distribution/Retail experience with emphasis in sales, logistics, or product management functions is a plus

Experience coaching finance teams through digital transformations is a plus

SKILLS:

In depth knowledge of financial modeling and analysis

Experience developing forecasts, operating plans, and related analytics

Ability to coach others.

Proven ability to build and manage effective relationships across multiple functional areas within multiple levels within the company.

Ability to identify and cultivate talent to build strong teams and move leaders through the organization.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are also required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time may be required
