The Parts Planner manages the daily activity of Parts Inventory Planning. This may include ensuring accurate allocations of product, reconciling daily production orders, customer service, reporting, routing of truck services and active communications. May include:

Optimize inventory by developing a stocking plan and buy accordingly.

Identify and implement process improvements and data analysis solutions.

Manage parts and supplies inventories to ensure proper levels are present.

Process work orders.

Produce various reports.

Inspect work performed by mechanics and reconcile work performed with work requested.

Coordinate and facilitate an effective preventative maintenance program.

Nature & Scope:

Works within defined processes and procedures.

Knowledge & Skills:

Ability to understand complex instructions and read equipment manuals, blueprints, technical bulletins, etc.

Ability to identify various parts and read mechanical and electrical drawings, instructions, gauges, micrometers, etc. Must be able to do basic math calculations

Understanding of an ERP/MRP system is desired. Prior experience with an AS/400 based system a plus

Strong MS Office Excel skills and a basic understanding of MS Access/SQL is desired

Ability to organize and analyze large amounts of data.

Effective problem solving skills

Strong team player, results orientated, dedication to excellence and sense of urgency to achieve business objectives

Ability to apply good judgement, decision making, strong work ethics and integrity on the job

Experience:

1 to 3 years of experience

Education:

High school diploma or GED

College degree preferred
