The role isresponsible for designing, establishing, executing, and managing the NorAm Tech & Services (T&S) value creation infrastructure/project portfolio. Reporting to the T&S, Chief Financial Officer, and working with T&S executive leaders and their teams to identify and align T&S Operations initiatives that enhance the Regional Segments’ ability to achieve their profitable growth objectives. The position holder will quantify, monitor, and report the value that these initiatives deliver to the business. This position will manage a framework (Smartsheet) to track other key T&S led initiatives/projects that support safety, compliance, or global strategies.This role manages the T&S annual initiative workplan using a standardized platform coupled with project management practices and protocols, which align with the Sodexo Project Management Framework, to capture value creating initiatives, monitor progress, identify, and mitigate risk, and create visibility and transparency relative to these initiatives within both the T&S and Segment leadership teams. Leveraging the initiative tracking and reporting dashboards as a common point of reference, the Director Project Management facilitates strategic and dynamic interactions between Segment and T&S teams which ensure mutual accountability toward achieving the intended value of the identified initiatives.This position will lead the preparation for the quarterly operational review for the Tech & Services team and will participate in the review conversation with the Global T&S and Regional leadership teams.Key Responsibilities include:
Works with Tech & Services (T&S) executive leaders and their teams to align and prioritize initiatives to deliver the company’s strategic objectives and business outcomes.
Establishes the joint T&S/Segment workplan each fiscal year to drive transparency and accountability between T&S and the Segments including a sign-off on commitments to the work plan.
Leveraging Sodexo’s Project Management Framework and T&S initiative tracking and reporting dashboards as a common point of reference, plans and facilitates ongoing strategic dialogues between T&S and Segment teams driving transparency, mutual accountability, resource arbitration.
Establishes and executes a strategy to continually progress Tech & Services’ project management maturity by ensuring that standardized processes are in place to facilitate effective project/initiatives execution.
Facilitates efficient and effective monitoring and control of initiatives/projects via a monthly reporting cadence to ascertain current and timely project/initiative health, status; identify, address, and mitigate risks; and ensure that initiative/project ROI is clearly tracked, demonstrated, and communicated.
Works with T&S team members and other North American Stakeholders to build foundational skills and capabilities in this area.
Maintain, update, and administer the integrated T&S Smart Sheet environment to manage the portfolio of initiatives/projects and to display progress to NorAm leaders through dynamic dashboards.
Establishes and enforces the standards which T&S departments must follow to ensure a through and timely work plan which captures and monitors execution of the joint commitments between the Segments and Tech & Services to achieve profitable growth.
Works directly with the T&S CEO, CFO and initiative leaders to capture and portray information that supports dynamic conversations and supporting real time dashboards that tell a clear and compelling story of the value that T&S delivers to the organization. This data is used to support reporting to the global Services Operations teams.
Serve as a change agent for project management within T&S. Works directly with T&S executive leaders and the regional transformation team to provide expertise and guidance to develop key capabilities which ensure thorough and impactful planning and deployment of Tech & Services value creating initiatives.
Lead the preparation of the quarterly operations review.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. MBA or related level of education preferred.
Minimum 5+ years at the Senior Manager or Director level in planning, analytics, and project management.
Leadership presence with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Superior communication skills
Advanced project management skills, PMP certification preferred.
Advanced MS Office Skills
Advanced Smart Sheet skills
Advanced interpersonal and facilitation skills
