Payroll Clerk

Description Robert Half is looking for a candidate capable of performing duties at a growing company in the Service industry as a Payroll Clerk. This role will be located in the Napa, California area. Advance your career path and work alongside an industry leader in this challenging position. The company is a dynamic, fast-growing team, looking for an individual who can communicate effectively with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk will tackle challenges in data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. The Payroll Clerk position is looking to be filled on a short-term contract / temporary employment contract.What you get to do every single day

Carry out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc

Configure custom reports

Administer and distribute reports as instructed

Administer instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals

Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system Requirements - Highly organized and self-motivated

Payroll software experience preferred

Previous payroll experience

Eagerness to master new systems

Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required

Great attention to detail

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Payroll systems for 100-500 employees experience desired
