Description Robert Half is seeking a qualified candidate for an exciting, fully remote employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer. The Tax Preparer responsibilities will consist of preparing simple and complex, individual and small business State and Federal tax returns. Administer relevant data into Tax software application

Resolve and invoice for form preparation fees

Manually arrange transaction tax returns utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies

Balance other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Support clients by gathering mandatory information/documents

Service incoming client calls to respond to tax questions and set appointments

Requirements - Excellent data entry skills

AA or BS/BA in Accounting or finance preferred

7+ years preparing tax returns- Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

Well-founded grasp of Corporate Tax Return

General familiarity with Tax Preparer

Annual Tax experience preferred

Income Tax Return experience

Annual Tax Provision experience

Individual Tax Return experience highly desired

Quality experience with CPA

Annual Income Tax Provision experience desired

Practical knowledge of Tax Preparation

Proven knowledge of Multi-state Tax Returns

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
