Full charge Bookkeeper
Description Job Summary:As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial health of our organization. This position requires a high level of financial expertise and responsibility, as you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's financial records, from day-to-day transactions to financial reporting. Your meticulous attention to detail, strong accounting skills, and ability to work independently will contribute to the financial success and compliance of our organization.Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping: Maintain complete and accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial statements.
Accounts Payable: Process and review vendor invoices, ensure accurate coding, and manage payment processing. Monitor and reconcile vendor statements.
Accounts Receivable: Generate and send customer invoices, track customer payments, and manage collections. Ensure timely and accurate recording of receivables.
Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies. Monitor cash flow and account balances.
Payroll Processing: Process payroll accurately and on time, including tax withholding, benefit deductions, and direct deposits. Ensure compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide financial reports to management and assist with budget preparation.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax. Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations.
Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis, such as variance analysis and cost tracking, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
Expense Management: Monitor and control expenses, including reviewing employee expense reports and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Documentation and Compliance: Maintain organized financial documentation and ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) proficiently for data entry, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation and information.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
