Programmer/Analyst: III (Senior)
Description Programmer Analysts with a desire to establish and define systems scope and objectives using their knowledge of software and applications programming and industry requirements are encouraged to apply for this open position from Robert Half. Assesses and logs issues. Works alongside other programmers to correct problems with code
Create and evaluate programming changes for each systems development phase prior to implementation. Log test cases and expected results. Verify that results meet requirements. May plan basic tests or a defined subset of larger tests. May suggest acceptance/rejection when requirements are not met
Reviews methods of processing and recommends improvements
Provides guidance for internal clients on applications, systems and/or processes for identifying and resolving, processing/reporting problems with programming. Consultation can include troubleshooting and/or education
Supports end users and other partner groups, providing ongoing training and assistance for a particular application, system or process
Creates dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst, and manages updates to maintain them
Analyzes user requests for systems changes or improvements. Documents functional requirements and assesses cost, feasibility and utility. Develops recommendation as to how, when or whether to proceed with making the changes
Collaborates on establishing communication materials for specific system changes being implemented in production Requirements - Proven success acting in a project management capacity
Previous experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements
Command of PC and mainframe hardware/software
Proficiency in programming languages
Demonstrated knowledge of Resolve Issues
Debug Techniques experience highly preferred
Background working with EO/IR systems
Design experience preferred
Command of training
Workstation Support experience highly desired
General familiarity with Provide Technical Support
Earlier work involving QA Management
Documentation experience
Procedures experience
Adeptness in consulting
Practical knowledge of Production System
