Description Boutique law firm in Stockton, CA has an immediate need for a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Secretary. As a Legal Secretary in our firm, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of civil cases supporting 2-3 attorneys and ensuring the efficient operation of the firm. This position is on-site and requires full-time work in Stockton, CA.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Manage and maintain electronic filing systems for state and federal courts.
Calendar court dates and deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Assist attorneys in organizing case files, documents, and exhibits.
Coordinate communication and scheduling with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Provide administrative support, including answering phones, handling correspondence, and managing office supplies.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Secretary in a law firm setting.
Proficiency in e-filing procedures for both state and federal courts.
Strong knowledge of court calendaring rules and procedures.
Excellent formatting and prooing skills for legal documents.
Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with exceptional time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
