Staff/Senior Accountant

This role handles financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors Requirements - Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Proven knowledge of budgeting
Experience with accruals
Journal entries experience
Solid understanding of month end closings
Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel
General ledger experience
Deep understanding of reconciliations
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Ability to meet deadlines
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Proficient in ERP systems
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Skilled at time management
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
