Clinical Data Abstracter - Precision Oncology Decision Support
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIESAbstract clinical and molecular dataSearch, abstract and record clinical and molecular data from electronic health care records and/or other internal databases. Demonstrate attention to detail as exacting accuracy of abstracted information is essential. Utilize information to review, validate and set up requests for molecular annotation by the Precision Oncology Decision Support team and to replicate this information within ISPM.Assist with annotation of drug and trial specific informationLearn and become proficient in the annotation of clinical trial eligibility criteria from clinical trials.gov and internal sources. Assist with curation of new drugs and annotation of drug indications and guidelines in a structured format.Data quality and standardizationEnsure quality of data via participation in QA/QC and other data standardization efforts. Provide feedback for resolving conflicts when database fields or content are missing or incomplete.Leads the training of staff entering clinical molecular data developing and maintaining relevant SOPs developing and maintaining job-specific competencies performing live training sessions reviewing work outputOther duties as assigned Other duties assigned by the manager where abstraction or extraction of molecular and clinical data are needed to support a project.High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of experience in tumor registry, healthcare, or related field. Additional years of education may be substituted for required experience on a one to one year basis.
