Diesel Technician

Aerotek, voted Best of Staffing, is hiring 1st shift diesel mechanics to work with a well respected company with a starting pay of $28.00/hour and a max of $34.00/hour for more experienced mechanics. Client pays very generously with competitive pay rates in the market. The position is based out of Mesa, AZ . Ideal candidates would be looking for a long term opportunity and to grow with a company. Diesel mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered vehicles. Their duties include running diagnostic tests on vehicles, test driving vehicles to gauge performance and maintaining detailed records of the vehicles they have serviced.Top Skills' Details:

Diesel Engine - Ideal candidate will have 5 plus of bumper to bumper experience on Class 3 - class 8 trucks.

Transmission - ability to drop and replace transmission and troublshoot

Diagnostic testing - Experience with Cummins or Detroit testing is important to have

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

ASE certifications for diesel engines

experience with 26 ton trucks

Experience working on fire trucks

Experience with working in the field

Worked on over the road trucks
