Position: Kitchen Line Cook

Supervisor: Kitchen Manager

We are looking for professional line cooks to prepare food to the exact specifications of the chef and to set up stations for the menu at both of our locations in Georgetown and Lexington. Duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chefs with their daily tasks. The successful candidates will play a key role in contributing to our customer’s satisfaction.

Hours: Part-time and full-time positions available

Pay: Hourly

Daily Duties and Responsibilities:

-Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

-Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

-Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions

-Clean up station and take care of leftover food

-Stock inventory appropriately

-Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

-Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

-Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

-Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook

-Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

-Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

-Familiar with industry’s best practices

-Excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm while multi-tasking in a busy environment.

-Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

-Must be able to pass a desirable background check as outlined by KRS 244.090.
