Job Description

The Transportation Finance Analyst works onsite at the client’s location (currently working from home). They provide strategic insight into the organization's transportation spend and operational performance activities through the development of easy to use dashboards, in depth statistical analysis and reporting. This role is critical to supporting global transportation operations for a multinational technology company. A successful candidate will have a strong background in transportation and financial analysis, possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and be highly motivated with a can-do attitude to get the job done.

  • Responsible for statistical analysis and reporting of transportation spend activities
  • Develop robust financial reporting and dashboards
  • Conduct spend related project management
  • Utilize Exception Management tools to identify problems and concerning trends before they can be of greater risk to the organization or its partnerships
  • Collaborate with Management to establish KPIs, SLA’s, and other metrics that can be used to more effectively manage transportation spend

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent field, master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Transportation (Air, Ocean, Truck, Parcel) and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of freight payment, Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable and claims processing
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macros, Formulas, VLookups)
  • Strong Tableau / Data Studio / PowerBI experience (or something similar)
  • Strong Powerpoint / Slides Skills, create visually appealing content that is easy to understand
  • Strong Statistical Competency
  • Confidence Intervals
  • Regression Analysis
  • Variance & Standard Deviation
  • Ability to create insightful graphs, matrixes
  • Basic Programming Experience (SQL or something similar)
  • Curiosity and customer focused attitude. Always be asking what is the customer trying to understand and how best can I present this to them?
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven ability to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must speak English fluently
  • Proactive self starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
