Position Summary
San Bar Construction Corp. is currently recruiting to fill the position of crew foreman who will supervise and coordinate the work for highway construction crew members in guardrail and/or sign installation. The foreman will delegate and train crew members in performing the tasks required to complete the jobs skillfully and efficiently while ensuring the assigned work is progressing in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Coordinate daily tasks according to plans, make changes when necessary due to weather and personnel
Delegate individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors
Study specifications to plan procedures for construction
Provide leadership to crew members through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
Plan the work schedule so as to obtain maximum production while maintaining highest standards of performance
Ensure the operation, safety and transportation of equipment
Instruct crews in the procedures and methods to be used
Monitor and work with crew members to achieve completion of projects
Ensure accurate records are maintained and deadlines for submission are timely
Qualifications
5 plus years in the highway construction industry
2-4 years of experience of professional experience as a lead, foreman or supervisor
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Must perform heavy physical activity with ability to left heavy objects
Ability to operate hydraulically operated jack hammers and additional heavy equipment used in industry
Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions
Good understanding of construction industry
Must possess a valid driver’s license
