Job Title: General Mechanic

Reports To: Mechanical Division Leader

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Wage Grade: Production, Grade Three

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prep and/or install various mechanical systems, mechanical equipment, or components including generators, air systems, exhaust systems, heating systems, leveling systems A/C components, furniture and seating. Prepare chassis for production. Repair or replace damaged body panels. Prep work for installation of mechanical systems and equipment. Perform frame or structural modification and/or repair.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to nine months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
