Mutual Materials is a fifth generation, family owned business that has grown from a single brick plant founded in 1900 into the multi-product masonry company that we are today. Currently we are the leading Pacific Northwest manufacturer and distributor of brick, block, interlocking and permeable concrete pavers, retaining wall systems, pre-packaged mortars and cements, and a full line of natural and manufactured stone. Mutual Materials Company operates in four states, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana, in addition to British Columbia, Canada.

POSITION SUMMARY

The essential duties of this position will be to prepare and operate machinery to manufacture brick. Also, this position will be tasked with ensuring only good quality product is being produced and packaged. This position will assist with the loading and packaging of product onto pallets to be wrapped and placed into inventory. This position is available during multiple shifts. JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a manufacturing environment, plus the following requirements:

Follow all safety procedures and participate in the plant’s safety committee.

Understand units of measure and be able to perform general mathematical equations.

Must be detail, safety and quality orientated.

This position requires a lot of bending, twisting, and reaching while standing.

Must be able to work quickly, while standing, in an extremely fast faced environment.

Must be willing and able to work on your feet the whole shift, in an environment with varying temperatures.

Physical capacity to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis

Ability to work independently

Willing and able to work overtime and handle varying work hours.

Prior experience working with manufacturing machines, being mechanically inclined, or previous mechanical experience (i.e. capable of recognizing machine issues and irregularities) is a plus.
