Staff Accountant

Our client, a premier construction company based in the greater Akron Area seeks an accounting graduate to fill the role of Staff Accountant.

The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Controller and will provide assistance in the day-to-day activities of the accounting and finance departments in this fast paced, growing company to maximize its profitability and ensure sound financial reporting.

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Provide assistance in all aspects of the accounting and finance areas of the organization to ensure credibility by providing timely and accurate financial statements and related analyses of financial trends, budgets, job cost information and cash flows.

Assist in the month end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and reconciliation.

Assist with A / R, A / P, cost accounting and job cost analysis.

Assist in special projects as necessary.

Work Saturdays if needed.

Qualifications :

BS / BA in Accounting or Finance

Internship experience preferred

Construction Industry experience preferred but not required

Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines

Strong overall computer skills and proficiency in Excel and Word

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong analytical and decision making skills

Results oriented, high level of personal integrity and dependability and a strong sense of urgency
