Packer (Swing Shift)

Job Summary : The Packer is responsible for assembling packing boxes and adhering appropriate labels and / or stickers to the boxes, placing finished goods into the boxes, and taping it shut for transport pickup.

Prior to this, the Packer verifies that bottle caps are fully tightened and product is free from visible defects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Place and tighten caps onto bottles after they are filled from the pourers

Verify the cap was tightened properly if already placed on bottle

Assemble packing boxes and place product into them

Set up semi-automated box sealer machine

Run boxes through the machine

Place all necessary labels and batch stickers onto the boxes

Place finished product into the respective box

Tape box shut and place on pallet for warehouse pickup

Maintain Quality checks of bottles / labels / cartons.

Other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements :

Ability to read, write and understand English

A high school diploma

Previous warehouse experience an asset

Physical Demands :

Constant standing involved

Repetitive lifting, twisting and bending

Ability to lift up to 50-70 pounds

Work Conditions :

The work environment has a high volume of noise earplugs are provided. Steel-toed boots are required. Care must be taken as large objects are moved in the area at all times
