REQUIREMENTS

-Must be fluent in English and Spanish

-Must have customer service experience

-Must have sales experience

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Greets customers immediately when they enter the gallery or are handed off from a technician.

- Must be attentive in providing service to customers and satisfying their needs.

- Ask open ended questions to determine the patient’s eyewear style preferences and escorts the customer to the appropriate product in the gallery

- Assists the customer in selecting frames and lenses that are best suited for their lifestyle, prescription and price needs

- Assists, celebrates, and complements patient’s eyewear choices at the delivery (dispense) and ensure the proper fitting before patients leave

- Assist patients with the purchase of contact lenses.

- Verify optical orders and notify patients for dispensing.

- Process re-orders via telephone, text, or email.

- Pricing, measuring, collecting money, coding, and documenting patient charts.

- Is attentive to details; reviews prescriptions and identifies special needs, consulting with OD/Supervisor when necessary

- Performs work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume. Identifies situations involving unsatisfied customers and acts quickly for resolution

- Takes time to help the customers and answer questions giving them a better understanding of available options. Shows patience and courtesy to indecisive or hard-to-please customers; offers to track down answers to unfamiliar questions or problems

- Takes pride in the appearance of the gallery and shows initiative in keeping the displays and inventory clean, attractive and organized.

- Control lab inventory through auditing tray management procedures, special orders, breakage, returns, and the monitoring of damaged and defective product.

- As needed, provide office support by answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments and checking in patients for appointments

- Commits to delivery date and time, sets expectations for pick up, seeks feedback about experience and asks for referrals. Genuinely expresses gratitude and thanks the customer

QUALIFICATIONS

- High school graduate or equivalent

- Proven track record of delivering the organizations results through people

- Prior supervisory experience

- Previous experience in customer service and retail preferred

- ABO Certification is helpful

- Certification CPR & BLS helpful
