Delivery Driver with F Endorsement

Position Summary:

Warren Brothers Sash & Door Company is growing. We are seeking a Box truck Delivery Driver to run local routes delivering millwork to our contractor customers. We mostly deliver windows, doors, moldings and other supplies to contractor sites; requires multiple stops. This position reports to the Branch Shipping Manager.

Requirements:

Motivated candidate required to have a valid F endorsement on license

Must be able to pass a physical examination as required by the U. S. Department of Transportation

Be required to pass a driving test as required by the company's truck leasing company

Candidate offered job will be required to pass a drug test and motor vehicle pre-employment screen

Reliable and dependable show up to work on time and ready to start the day

Be able to read and understand verbal and written instructions and responsibly follow those instructions

Communicate effectively to co-workers and management about progress of order and deliveries

Strength in time management & completion of independent tasks

What will your delivery team do:

Verify product being delivered is correct and complete as shipping documents state

Report any discrepancies, damage or other issues with deliveries

Ensure that the material that is being delivered is stored in a clean safe place on job sites

Drive a 26’ box truck safely and report any vehicle maintenance issues

Must make safety a top priority and always be aware hazards in your environment

Attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policies

Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

Make deliveries using an electronic tablet for taking pictures and delivery documentation

Essential Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy products repeatedly to load trucks at the warehouse and unload the products at job sites.

Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds with a helper

Must be able to maintain a high level of frequency and intensity in other physical activities such as reaching,

standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling and crouching

Must have good visual acuity, depth perception, and peripheral vision

The candidate will be required to work both inside and outside in a non-climate-controlled environment

The applicant may be exposed to modest amounts of dust, fumes, noise and vibration

Must be available to work weekdays and with Saturday overtime as needed
