Keller is actively searching for a qualified Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our successful geotechnical construction team working out of Salt Lake City, UT. Applicants must have documentation of two or more years of experience in truck, trailer, and heavy equipment repair and maintenance. Applicant must be a high school graduate or show equivalent training, be able to efficiently perform electrical and hydraulic diagnostics, and pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen. Applicant must be a self-motivated individual and demonstrate significant attention-to-detail at all times. ASE Certification and basic computer skills to perform service reporting are desirable, however not required. Applicant must also possess all required Class I Mechanic hand tools.

More experienced applicants will have experience with heavy drill rigs (Klemm, SoilMec, and Watson) used in geotechnical construction, concrete pumps, air compressors, generators, and other heavy equipment. The safe operation of basic heavy equipment including forklifts, wheeled front end loaders, and excavators is also a plus, along with a holding a current CDL license. Actual pay rate and benefits are based on experience.

The available position is approximately 50% field and 50% shop based and reports to a Shop Supervisor and/or onsite project Superintendent. Frequent out of town travel is required.

In addition to operating the tasks mentioned, applicants will be expected to perform basic labor tasks when not assigned to typical mechanic operations. These labor tasks may require extensive physical activity at times.
