Hardware Retail Sales Clerk (Full Time)

We are looking for a retail sales clerk to join the team at our family-run hardware store. The applicant should have a customer-focused mindset, have great communication skills, be motivated, and have a positive attitude. Retail and register experience is preferred. At least one weekend day is required, and some holiday hours are required.

Essential Job Functions:

· Assist with inventory and processing of incoming stock, including grain deliveries

· Clean and organize

· Greet and advise customers in the selection of products and their uses

· Process customer returns and resolve customer complaints

· Perform value-added services, i.e., make key copies, cut glass, mix paint, etc.

· Handle cash and credit card transactions while properly maintaining a cash drawer

Qualifications:

· Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service

· Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs multiple times a day

· Familiarity with hardware, farming, and animal husbandry is desired but not required

· Reliable transportation and means of communication are required

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience, starting pay is $12/hr
