Registered Medication Aide (RMA)

Runk and Pratt Senior Living Communities at Smith Mountain Lake is looking for a dedicated and motivated direct care staff member to join our team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Completes accurate documentation of the medication administration record (MAR).

Monitors individual medications of the residents and ensures adequate supply of medications for residents.

Ensures proper and accurate medication administration.

Must demonstrate and have knowledge and understanding of medication administration procedures and current medical issues facing the senior population.

Knowledgeable of the individualized care plan for residents, and provides support to residents according to their care plan.

Observes residents for changes in condition or behavior.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from high school or GED.

State Police background check that is free from barrier offenses.

The ability to meet Physical Requirements for Position.

At least every other weekend & holiday hours required.

Must be able to perform duties in accordance with the guidelines mandated by Social Services as the licensing agent of this facility.

Hold a current and valid license as a RMA from the Virginia Board of Nursing/Department of Health Professions.
