THE ROLE

The Executive Director Center of Excellence of Quality Assurance Engineering is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of a PSJH enterprise Quality Assurance center of excellence strategy.

The Quality Assurance Center of Excellence strategy is crucial to the organizations performance due to its ability to improve caregiver experience, business outcomes and drive down costs.

The scope of this senior leadership position is enterprise-wide, including coordination across multiple pillars in the organization and the ability to anticipate long-term needs.

Requires the ability to evaluate external and vendor technologies in alignment with overall, long-term organizational strategy.

This position represents Engineering in communication and stakeholder collaboration, for both internal and external executives and leaders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Executive Director, Center of Excellence of Quality Assurance Engineering will be responsible for :

Leading the organization to engineer Quality Assurance and Testing solutions that are highly economical, available, reliable, secure, fully documented, and in accordance with industry best practices.

Development and implementation of standards and policies across all disciplines for enterprise QA and Testing automation engineering services.

Establishing and managing annual operating and capital budgets, developing and governing adherence to standards and policies, and building and supporting a professional, creative and collaborative team.

Monitoring, evaluating, and integrating emerging technologies into the PSJH environment; developing engineering standards and policies related to emerging technologies.

Providing responsive leadership to delegate, coordinate, and motivate staff; evaluating performance for direct reports and for contractors / other peoples’ direct reports;

working with individuals and HR to improve performance, as needed.

Maintaining forward-looking and strategic partnerships with key technology vendors, ensuring innovative strategies are incorporated into future roadmaps.

Maintaining familiarity with QA, Testing, Agile methodology, Security, cloud services and automation technologies.

Serving as sponsor and / or owner, as appropriate, for technology projects and initiatives within areas of accountability.

Advocating IS goals and commitments; understanding the vision of PSJH, while being able to deploy that vision through functional areas.

Knowing when to proactively communicate with leadership about issues and problems that exist in their own functional area;

performing daily interaction with staff; holding regular team meetings.

Qualifications : QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS

Required qualifications for this position include :

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services, or other studies; or equivalent educ / experience

12 years Information Services technical experience in infrastructure operations, engineering, testing, quality assurance, devops implementation

10 years management experience

Strong verbal communication and listening skills

Ability to lead / manage others

Effective leadership skills

Ability to influence internal and / or external constituents

Demonstrated high commitment to quality

Thorough understanding and has extensive experience in establishing a QA and Testing automation engineering strategy and operationalizing and measuring the business value of this strategy.

Thorough understanding of industry leading QA and testing automation technologies and extensive experience in leveraging these technologies to support business objectives

Thorough understanding of automation technologies and extensive experience in the use of these tools to drive business outcomes.

Should have foundational knowledge of technology tools such as Azure DevOps, UI Path, Tosca, SmartBear

Advanced knowledge of emerging QA and testing automation technologies and modernization strategies

Preferred qualifications for this position include :

Master’s Degree in Information Services or Business Administration
