Welder/Fabrication:

This position requires a self-motivated individual that has experience with Mig welding, blue print reading and can handle a variety of power tools. Able to work independently or side by side with fellow workers. Certified in operation a forklift is a plus, and must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up and operate fabricating machines such as; Mig welder, Vertical band saw, Horizontal saw, and Drill press.

Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools

Lift or move materials manually or with hoist or forklift.

Lay out and examine metal stock or workpieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.

Handle powertools; ie: Gas saw, Band saw, and Grinders

Maintain a clean as safe work area, use protective equipment as required

Communicate appropriately and professionally

Skills and abilities:

Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed environment

Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance

Critical thinking to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to problems.

Able to follow both written and verbal instructions

Strong organization skills, multi-tasker, and self-starter

Knowledge of material handling equipment a plus.

Experience/Education:

Education to include tech school, related on the job training or an associate's degree

Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience list above
