SURVEYOR POSITION CENTRAL CONNECTICUT

We are hiring a Licensed Surveyor and an Instrument Operator. The position entails assisting the party chief with day-to-day operations. Individuals should have a basic understanding of survey practices and be able to work as a member of the survey team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Performs field survey task under direct supervision of a Party Chief

-Assist with construction stakeout surveys

-Prepare neat and accurate field notes and sketches

-Ensure proper maintenance of survey equipment and vehicle.

IF YOU LIKE TO LEARN HERE ARE SKILLS WE CAN HELP YOU DEVELOP:

Prepare ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary & Topographic Surveys, and As-builts Surveys, using AutoCAD Civil software.

Create survey plans from field crew data collector files (points), field sketches, digital photographs, and reference maps. Generate surfaces using 3d polylines and points.

Research and obtain standards/codes required by client, town, county, etc. through interaction with necessary personnel (PM, Survey Technician, Admin etc.) to accurately & efficiently develop the above noted plans.

Coordinate project requirements with team members and assist in completing required tasks as necessary.

Any other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

-1+ years of experience in construction using electronic equipment with relative survey experience, preferred.

-Basic knowledge of robotic total stations, GPS-RTK, digital leveling, and electronic data collection.

-Must be able to pass background checks for Federal Facilities, Drug Tests for Construction Sites

-Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.

-Self-motivated, responsible and dependable

-Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor and team members

-High School Diploma or equivalent.

-CAD knowledge is a bonus; will cross-train.
