The Opportunity :

The Supervisor-in-Training will work alongside management to provide leadership to the team while rotating throughout various areas of the mill, as well as :

Always assist in maintaining the highest standards of safety, leading by example and ensuring all employees follow policies, procedures and practices

Assist in identifying opportunities to reduce cost, while safely maintaining production targets

Actively participate in coaching, training and supporting team members to maximize performance

Foster a culture of open communication with employees at all levels

Assist in ensuring the timely implementation of key corporate and operational initiatives

Requirements :

Recent college graduate with a relevant degree in Forestry, Industrial Manufacturing, Business, or related topics OR a minimum of 5 years of work-related experience in related industrial field

Responsible, hardworking, self-motivated, and willing to work on all shifts in all conditions

Good interpersonal skills and written / verbal communication

Ability to analyze and troubleshoot

Enthusiastic, positive attitude

Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process would be an asset
