JOURNEYMAN CARPENTER WANTED

Established General Contractor is currently seeking a Journeyman Carpenter to join our team. Candidates must be DEPENDABLE, HARDWORKING, SELF-MOTIVATED, DETAIL-ORIENTED and have great communication and time management skills.

Our small but highly efficient team is based out of Kamuela with jobs all over the north and west sides of the island.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your job will be to collaborate with the team as needed on remodels, renovations, installations, repairs and new constructions.

You must know how to work with raw and finish materials, and have a good working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment.

Duties to include, but not limited to, the following: demolition, framing, siding, door/window, install, trims, finish carpentry, drywall and flooring

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ years of residential carpentry and/or commercial experience a plus

- Proficient usage of carpentry tools (electric tools, hand tools, measurement tools, etc.) required

- Good physical condition, stamina and dexterity— must be able to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, heavy lifting, etc.)

- Must be able to comfortably lift and carry 50 lbs

- Must have own basic tools including hand tools and tool belt

- Own power tools preferred

- Knowledge of carpentry methods and general residential construction a plus

- Committed to work safety

- Positive and cooperative attitude

- Attention to detail and dependability is critical to your success and longevity in this role

- Must have reliable transportation and a current/valid driver’s license

- A flexible schedule is required

Employment type: Independent Contractor

Compensation will be based on experience.
